Say goodbye to the “My Heart Will Go On” Celine Dion you used to know and love, and say hello to a more EDM-influenced Celine.
On her new song “Loved Me Back To Life,” Dion seems to be channeling Rihanna, Miley and Katy with a heavily produced pop song written by Sia — who’s previously written songs for Rihanna and Christina Aguilera — that has her stuttering “back to life” over a bevy of synths.
Along with the premiere of her new single, Dion also announced the release of her first English-language album in six years, Loved Me Back To Life, which is due out November 5.
The album — originally titled Water And A Flame — has her working with Babyface, who produced her cover of Janis Ian’s “At Seventeen,” along with a few key members of Adele’s team: Frasier T Smith, who produced “Set Fire To The Rain,” and Eg White, who co-wrote and produced “Chasing Pavements” off her debut album, 19.
